Nowlan set to direct 'Mistresses'
NowlanCherie Nowlan has been tabbed to direct the first episode of the ABC series "Mistresses."Oz helmer has worked on several series in her native country and has also been productive recently in the States with "Life Unexpected," "Gossip Girl" and "90210.""Mistresses," produced by ABC Studios, was given a straight-to-series order last month and is targeted to air in summer 2013. Show is from K.J. Steinberg, who created the 2007 Alphabet drama "The Nine" and was a writer and co-producer on "Gossip Girl."Show is based on a U.K. format where four women are in the midst of tumultuous romances, which creates incidents of self-discovery, secrecy and betrayal.Nowlan is repped by UTA, Australian agent Annabelle Sheehan at RGM Associates and manager Sara Bottfeld at Industry Entertainment.
