Bravo grows 'Watch What Happens'

Bravo is set to strip "Watch What Happens Live," an until-now weekly skein that started out as a digital show on the net's website. Show will move to a daily sked at 11 p.m. starting in January. The news was first reported by the NY Times."Live" is hosted by Bravo's exec veep of programming, Andy Cohen, and features further interviews with contestants and subjects from the unscripted-centric net's various reality shows, including the women of the sundry "Real Housewives" franchises and "Top Chef," along with interviews of celebs outside the net.The show ranks high among viewers, averaging 1.2 million total and 720,000 in the demo, and is also unusually inexpensive for the net to produce, as Variety reported in April. "We make it for a five-figure number, and not even a very high five-figure number," exec producer Michael Davies said at the time.Cohen will step back from his daily duties at the Peacock's biggest lifestyle cabler, relinquishing his exec veep title, although the Times reports that he will continue to oversee program and talent development.Taking over Cohen's exec duties will be Jerry Leo, who moves up to exec veep of program strategy and production from his current spot as senior veep of program strategy and acquisitions.
