George Clooney: Ryan Gosling 'Wanted' Sexiest Man Alive

You weren't the only person disappointed that Bradley Cooper took home People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive title for 2011 over Ryan Gosling; apparently Gosling was too! At least if you believe noted prankster George Clooney, who told Extra that The Gos "want[ed]" the honor. "He [Gosling] really wants it," Clooney joked to Extra at Los Angeles premiere of 'The Descendants' on Tuesday night. "He's been saying ... the whole time we were on the set of 'Ides of March,' he was like, 'How did you pull that off?' So I called up Brad Pitt and we worked with him for weeks on the walk, we told him how to train ... everything." Apparently, it wasn't enough, as Cooper was chosen instead. Gosling devotees took to the streets outside the People Magazine offices in NY on Thursday to protest the selection of Cooper, perhaps an ill-advised decision considering the actual protests going on around Manhattan.
